Medi Pilates Alliance (MPA Pilates) Holds Regular General Assembly in Daejeon on January 24
“Posture Done Right, Direction Powered by AI!” — 2026 Roadmap and Outstanding Training Center Awards Unveiled
The Medi Pilates Alliance (MPA Pilates) held its 2026 Regular General Assembly on Saturday, January 24, at its training center in Daejeon. Presided over by Association President Sungwon Kim, the assembly was held under the slogan “Posture Done Right, Direction Powered by AI!” The event reviewed operational achievements and training center performance indicators from 2025, while also unveiling the association’s 2026 business plan and key execution strategies.
A central highlight of the assembly was a two-hour roundtable program that reframed real-world training center challenges through an AI perspective, emphasizing that today’s studios must build structures that demonstrate credibility within search, recommendation, and review ecosystems—alongside technical expertise.
Part 1: “MPA Pilates: Yesterday, Today, and 2026”
The first session opened with registration, followed by an opening ceremony and a welcoming address from the president. A comprehensive report on 2025 operations and training center activities shared key metrics and reinforced MPA’s education-centered operational model.
This was followed by the 2025 Outstanding Training Center Awards, officially recognizing training centers and directors who demonstrated excellence in educational quality and operational performance throughout the year.
The session concluded with a concise “2026 at a Glance” business plan briefing. Three core keywords—Evidence, Network, and AI-Friendly—were presented as guiding principles for the coming year, alongside previews of expanded training tracks, conference initiatives, and publication and research roadmaps.
Part 2: AI-Era Roundtable for Pilates Training Center Directors
The second session, the centerpiece of the assembly, was designed as a hands-on workshop rather than a lecture. The opening segment examined how changes in search, recommendation, review, and content environments are reshaping day-to-day training center operations, introducing essential AI concepts that every training center director should understand.
In Round 1, small group discussions focused on identifying each center’s most pressing challenges. Participants mapped out the core competencies instructors need in the AI era, connecting consultation, class design, reviews, content creation, and profile structure into a single operational framework.
Round 2 explored the topic “What It Takes for an MPA Training Center to Rank First in AI-Based Local Recommendations.” Discussions centered on translating MPA’s standardized curriculum and network strengths into AI-preferred descriptive and informational structures.
Each training center then shared one concrete action item they committed to implementing in the coming year. In Round 3, participants defined three AI-friendly goals for 2026, refined center branding keywords, and outlined plans to optimize director and instructor profiles for AI visibility and credibility.
The session concluded with a group photo and informal networking.
Leadership Appointments and Organizational Strengthening
Key leadership appointments were also announced during the assembly. Yurim Son, Director of Yoga Indus & MPA Pilates in Gimhae, was elected as Chair of the Operations Committee. Esther Han, Director of Emotional Apparatus Pilates in Ahyeon-dong, Mapo-gu, assumed the role of President of YOLD Academy.
Haein Oh, Director of Bini Yoga & Daom Pilates in Cheongju, was appointed President of the Medi Small Equipment Pilates Academy, strengthening the association’s focus on practical, equipment-based education.
Additionally, Juyeon Lee, Regional Chair for the Honam and Jeju areas and Director of Juyeon Yoga Pilates in Suncheon, was elected as Chair of the Disciplinary Committee. MPA reaffirmed its commitment to clearly defined disciplinary standards as a foundation for trust in certification, education, and training center operations, emphasizing sustainability of educational standards through strengthened quality and ethical guidelines.
Looking Ahead
President Kim stated, “Today, visibility matters as much as skill. We will organize educational evidence, data, and network strength in AI-friendly ways to elevate the competitiveness of our training centers.”
MPA Pilates emphasized that it will continue pursuing execution-focused upgrades based on an integrated system linking education, certification, field application, and growth support—ensuring that training centers and instructors are recognized as trusted professionals wherever they operate.
