Hello, this is the Medi Pilates Alliance (MPA Pilates).
We are excited to announce the 2026 MPA Spring Conference, designed to satisfy the thirst for “deeper healing” and “scientific evidence” that Pilates instructors encounter in the field.
A highlight of this year’s conference is our collaboration with the Brain Therapy Association of the Korea Healing Yoga Association (Chairperson: Jeong Hyo-jin). We will provide neurofeedback brainwave measurement and analysis reports to all participants. We invite you to experience the essence of Neuro-Pilates, the core of MPA’s philosophy of “Visible Practice Instruction.”
1. Conference Overview & Special Benefits
With the theme “Practical Lectures Applicable Immediately in the Field,” this conference consists of a curriculum essential for instructors, including senior care, rehabilitation, pain management, and neuroscience.
- Special Benefit: Neurofeedback brainwave measurement and consultation reports for all participants.
- Educational Benefit: Issuance of certificates of completion for each course.
- Class Capacity: 3rd Floor Lecture Room (16 persons) / Daejeon Training Center (25 persons).
2. [Saturday, April 18] Brain-Based Approaches & Core Rehabilitation
- ① Senior Gait Rehabilitation Pilates – Instructor Han Esther Focuses on analysis methods and Reformer-based muscle-strengthening programs to improve “gait ability,” a key health indicator in old age. Protocols for ankle, knee, and hip pain will be presented.
- ② Brain-Based Approaches to Elevate Class Quality – Instructor Oh Yu-jin Expands the perspective from muscle-centric to nervous system-centric. Learn how to evaluate cerebellum function and apply neuro-based intervention strategies to transform movement quality.
- ③ Reducing Movement to Relieve Pain (3-Point Alignment) – Instructor Kim Han-na Introduces a “minimalist rehab” approach that reduces compensation patterns based on the 3-point alignment connecting the head, pelvis, and feet.
- ④ Music Pilates Flow Connected via Rhythm – Instructor Im Hye-kyung Shares methods for designing MPF sequences where movements flow seamlessly by combining the body’s natural rhythm with the BPM of music.
3. [Sunday, April 19] Functional Anatomy & Specialized Sequences
- ⑤ Reading Pilates Movement through Gluteal Function – Instructor Gu Do-hee Analyzes pelvic instability and hip usage patterns based on the functional anatomy of the gluteus maximus, medius, and minimus, providing an anatomical interpretation of movement principles.
- ⑥ Wallegro Barre for Active Seniors – Instructor Lee Ji-min Utilizes the Wallegro system, optimized for Korean body type data, to design therapeutic Barre classes that restore joint mobility and elasticity for seniors.
- ⑦ 50-Minute Apparatus Pilates Sequence for Shoulder Health – Instructor Park Ju-young Introduces a step-by-step practical sequence using the Reformer, Chair, and Barrel to open shoulder fascia and integrate function within a 7:1 group class environment.
- ⑧ Medi Small-Apparatus Pilates: Mini-ball & Band – Instructor Oh Hae-in A function-recovery-centered workshop focused on awakening body sensations and improving movement patterns using small props.
- ⑨ Lower Back Pain & Pelvic Misalignment: From Evaluation to Correction – Instructor Kim Yun-hye Provides a perspective for reading pelvic asymmetry—the cause of back pain—through static and dynamic postural analysis and establishing practical correction strategies.
4. Neuro-Pilates: Completing the Vision of “Visible Instruction”
The core of this conference lies in “Scientific Analysis through Neurofeedback.” The brainwave analysis reports provided by Brain Therapy instructors help teachers understand a member’s state through objective data rather than subjective intuition. This represents the future of professional Pilates instructors that MPA strives for.
