A. 가능합니다.

Discover a new standard in understanding the body through a Pilates-based approach to low back pain and pelvic misalignment—shifting from simply observing the body to truly interpreting it.

This workshop will take place on April 19, 2026 (Sunday), from 14:20 to 16:00 (100 minutes) at the MPA Pilates Conference, led by Director Yoonhye Kim.

Low back pain is not just a localized issue—it is often a reflection of underlying movement patterns. In real teaching environments, instructors frequently encounter clients who experience recurring pain despite stretching, exercising, or attempting posture correction. These cases reveal that the root cause often lies not in the lower back itself, but in faulty alignment and dysfunctional movement patterns.

Pelvic misalignment plays a critical role in the development and persistence of low back pain. Asymmetry in the pelvis, imbalances between left and right movement, limited mobility, and repeated compensatory patterns all contribute to excessive strain on the lumbar region. When pelvic alignment collapses, the lower back is continuously overloaded, creating a cycle of recurring discomfort.

This lecture emphasizes a structured corrective strategy based on the process of evaluation, analysis, and intervention. Participants will learn how to conduct static posture assessments, including alignment analysis, balance evaluation, and pelvic positioning. In addition, dynamic movement analysis will be covered, focusing on identifying movement patterns, detecting compensations, and assessing joint limitations.

Rather than prescribing generic exercises, this approach equips instructors with the ability to interpret the body’s signals and develop individualized correction strategies. Using Pilates principles, the workshop will introduce methods to restore pelvic alignment, reduce lumbar stress, and achieve a balance between stability and mobility. The focus is on allowing proper alignment to emerge naturally through movement, rather than forcing the body into position.

Designed for immediate application in real teaching settings, the session includes practical assessment tools, tailored strategies for different client types, effective correction techniques, and adaptable methods for group classes. Participants will gain a clearer framework for understanding clients’ bodies and setting precise directions for their sessions.

Director Yoonhye Kim, a former rehabilitation therapist and an official MPA Pilates examiner and educator, brings extensive field experience to her teaching. As the author of a guide on correcting round shoulders through Pilates and daily habits, she integrates rehabilitation knowledge with functional movement education to deliver deeply practical and results-oriented instruction.

The MPA Pilates Conference is dedicated to providing instructors with actionable knowledge in functional Pilates, pain management, posture correction, and real-world teaching sequences—setting a benchmark for practical education in the field.

This workshop is especially recommended for instructors who want to improve their ability to address low back pain, enhance posture analysis skills, learn pelvic correction techniques, and establish clearer direction in their teaching.

When your standard for reading the body changes, your results in teaching change as well. This session offers a strategic, analytical approach to solving low back pain and pelvic misalignment beyond conventional exercise methods.
